eroded: Aokighara, also known as Sea of Trees, is a forest in Japan at the base of Mount Fuji. In Japanese mythology, it is a place associated with demons. It is also called Suicide Forest due to the large amount of suicides that take place there; the second most popular location for this in the world after San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge. The density of the trees block wind along with the absence of wild life causes the forest to also be known for being eerily quiet.
